RESOURCE CENTER AT SCHOOL "14.OKTOBAR" OPENS WAY TO EUROPE

Organization “Internationaler Bund” in Frankfurt, which provides services and support to people with disabilities, young people from marginalized social groups through Germany, and in 14 countries in Europe and 4 countries of Middle East, it organized a meeting where is introduced the concept of the future project of cooperation in the region. In work of this conference participated and delegation of Serbia. Member of Council of the Palilula Municipality, Zorica Stoiljković and special educator and rehabilitator in school “14. October” in Nis, Jovana Stajković, presented to the presidency of this organization project activities that is realized in cooperation with local authorities as well as the proposition of project for future cooperation.

In Serbia, at the present is transformation of social welfare institutions as and schools that teach children with disabilities who is also in the process of reform. These reforms should be to establish a new education system and improve the lives of these children-stressed Zorica Stojkovic, a member of the Palilula Municipality Council. It is expected that reforms make full inclusion of children with disabilities and integrate into society people with disabilities. The City of Nis, organizations of local governments and especially the Palilula Municipality is very interested that school which now exist and to educate children with multiple disabilities and intellectual development, become a Resource center-stressed Zorica Stojkovic and to includes in this network with the “Internationaler Bund” for support and understanding of diversity in Europe and neighboring countries.

Presidency of "Internationaler Bund" has accepted the proposition of "Nis delegation" for cooperation, and in September it is expected the arrival of an expert team of this organization in Nis.
